Wealthiest Place on Earth!

What is wealth?

According to the dictionary, wealth means a great quantity or store of money, valuable possessions, property, or other riches or an abundance or profusion of anything; a plentiful amount.

When we hear the word “Wealth” the first thing that comes to our mind is a person who is living a luxurious life or a place where there are mountains that are covered with lush green plants or a beautiful beach with white sand. Well everyone might have different perceptions and visuals that their minds have created for a wealthy person or a place.

People who are considered to be wealthy in the eyes of others

According to one of the sources, billionaires in this world, which are around 2.2 billion, possess more wealth than the remaining 4.6 billion population of this world, which makes up 60% of the population. As discussed above, different people have different perceptions and mindsets regarding wealthy people and have different criteria according to which they consider others to be a part of the wealthy club. Following are some of the traits that are considered to be found in a wealthy person:

  • Filthy rich (in monetary terms);
  • Owns big houses & drives luxury cars;
  • Owns big companies; etc etc.

However, in my opinion, the traits of the wealthiest people in this world are not the things that are discussed above, but some other traits make them one of the wealthiest people in this world. Following are some of the important traits that I consider to be a must in a wealthy person:

  • More Extroverts than Others: Being an extrovert is a must for anyone to become or remain a wealthy person in this world. Being an extrovert means a person should be able to communicate with others easily and in a meaningful way. One should be able to express his/her ideas to other people openly so that a person can get recognition and the right advice for his/her work. Without being an extrovert a person can never be in a leadership position as a leader has to be expressive in terms of sharing ideas and knowledge with others for better results in any field.

  • More conscientious: A person should be responsible, dedicated, focused and willing to accept the responsibilities that he/she has towards achieving goals & work. This will set a good example for the juniors and the followers and will provide self-esteem which is essential to feeling satisfied with their respective work.

  • More Emotionally Stable than Others: People who can hold their emotions and make wise decisions according to the needs of the different situations and scenarios that they come across tend to be more successful in future than people who make decisions based on their emotions.

My Opinion Regarding Wealthy People:

There must be other traits as well but the above are the most common and the most traits which I think that a wealthy person should be equipped with. Most people have a misconception about being wealthy or who are the wealthiest people in this world, people with loads of money, and having a luxurious lifestyle are not the signs of being a wealthy person. There are a lot more than that which makes a person wealthy in this society.

Wealthiest Place on Earth:

When we hear about the wealthiest places in the world, there are loads of different imaginations that take place in our small beautiful minds. We imagine that a wealthy place must be very clean in terms of hygiene. Places or cities with tall buildings, roads on which luxury cars are being driven by people, a calm place with the sound of water shores, or mountains full of gold, diamonds, coal and other natural resources. This is what exactly my brain creates an imagination after hearing “the wealthiest place on earth” until I read a beautiful quote that changed my perception. Following is the quote:

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

– Les Brown

The above quote was heart-touching as I can relate this to myself. A few years back I was also a part of a herd of sheep and goats who just woke up early in the morning to make sure that they could work towards achieving the goals of others by sacrificing their time, money, emotions, family and self commitments, etc, etc, etc.

However, this is true that many of us do not succeed in life because we never pursue our dreams and passions just because of the noise that we have in our life in the form of family and societal pressures, fear of failure and reluctant to take risks. As we know one of the greatest personalities of all time, Mark Zuckerberg once said:

The biggest risk in life is not taking any risks…

I consider myself very fortunate that I did take risks in my life and I’m ready to take risks in life and to pay the price just to pursue my dreams and passions. Be the wealthiest person in this world, take risks, pursue your dreams and never regret anything in life, before it’s too late.
